My History

I started riding mountain bikes at age 13.  My bike was my method of transportation.  I worked hard at the local family restaurant to buy a new bike, a Haro Impulse, at age 14.  Everyday that summer I took the back roads of Pinckney, MI to find a new section of the Potowatami trail and ride my bike to the beach for some French fries.  That was the start of the dream.  I did my first race in 1993 as a Junior Beginner and I finished 11th.  In 1994 I competed in 2 different race series in the Sport category.  In 1995 I got a little more serious and raced Jr. Expert.  In 1996 I sent out my first resume and landed a spot on the Rock Shox Jr. Development team.  I was very fortunate be on the team with other future stars of the sport Tom Danielson and Jeremey Horgan Kobelski.  By the end of the 96 season I was headed to Australia to compete in the Jr. Mountain Bike World Championships.  97 and 98 was spent in the back of my Mom and Dad's Dodge Grand Caravan traveling the country and hitting as many bike races as possible.  In 1999 I was again lucky to have an eye opening opportunity.  I was invited by Klement Capliar to move to Tucson, AZ and participate in a live in training camp with 4 riders from Slovakia and the Czech Republic.  It was there that I took the next step.  Many hours on the bike of hard miles.  I turned pro later that season and have been at it ever since.  Lately my focus has been on the growing sport of cyclocross and in 2009 I represented the U.S.A. at the World Championships in Hoogerheide, Netherlands.

With the experience of climbing the ranks from a beginner to a top level pro I feel I can provide you with the knowledge you need to get to the next level and reach your maximum potential.
